About the Role
The Industry and Vocational Training Officer plays a vital role in connecting students with meaningful vocational pathways, including School-Based Apprenticeships, Traineeships, and work readiness programs. Reporting to the Head of Campus, this part/full-time (0.9 FTE) temporary position operates during school hours, with additional days off during school holidays.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and maintaining strong partnerships with industry and business to source School-Based Apprenticeship and Traineeship opportunities for students.
- Developing engagement activities and marketing the benefits of vocational training as a career pathway preference for students.
- Providing guidance for work experience placement programs, including monitoring students in the workplace and managing records as per departmental policy.
- Coordinating student recruitment into post-school pathway options and supporting enrolment processes.
- Supporting students through one-on-one and small group learning, wellbeing, and work readiness programs.
