Good Shepherd Catholic College, Mount Isa  is seeking an experienced and dedicated Inclusive Education Middle Leader. This position is a Full Time, Permanent teaching role with a 3 year fixed term appointment to the Middle Leader position. This role is a Full Time position, commencing 20 January 2025. While this role will see you working in a Middle Leader capacity, the position will also include a component of classroom teaching as part of your duties.

The role of the Inclusive Education Middle Leader is to support the mission of the College through leadership of specific academic, cultural, outreach, sporting or other defined programs offered to students and/or the College community. This involves interacting with students, staff and parents in an appropriate manner as well as developing and implementing effective processes and practices in keeping with the values and ethos of the College and designed to accomplish the desired outcomes of the specific program. Depending on the nature of the program, the role may also involve interacting with personnel and organisations outside the College community and developing partnerships that enhance results for students.

Key Accountabilities

The Inclusive Education Middle Leader is responsible for:

  • The coordinating of the Inclusive Education program within the College
  • Pastoral care of staff within a designated area of responsibility
  • Other appropriate duties as required by the Principal and Senior Leadership Team.

The Inclusive Education Middle Leader will be responsible to achieve this by:

  • Coordinating the work of staff engaged in the development of students
  • Organising program activities for the College including resources, transport and operations etc.
  • Regularly communicating with the Senior Leadership Team regarding issues of interest or concern
  • Administration of available resources
  • Any other appropriate duties as required and reasonable by the Principal and Senior Leadership Team.
