Veritas Education is currently working in partnership with a well‑established secondary school in the Wakefield area, seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Humanities Teacher to join their team after the February Half Term break.

The school is committed to providing high‑quality education and fostering a supportive learning environment. They are looking for a teacher who can deliver engaging and inspiring lessons across the Humanities department-particularly Geography, History, or Religious Studies-at KS3 and KS4.

The Role

  • Deliver well‑planned and differentiated lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Teach Humanities subjects to KS3 and KS4 pupils
  • Support pupils of varying abilities, ensuring progress for all
  • Contribute to the wider school community and department
  • Maintain high professional standards in line with DfE expectations

    • The Ideal Candidate

  • UK‑qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent)
  • Strong subject knowledge in one or more Humanities disciplines
  • Experience teaching in secondary schools
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
  • A proactive, reliable, and professional approach to teaching
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
