HR Business Partner, Hastings
Located at Port Macquarie, NSW
Full-time, temporary position. Leave replacement.
Commencing 28 April 2025, or in negotiation with the successful candidate, and concluding on 16 January 2026.

Position Purpose:
The Human Resources Business Partner (HR BP) assists the Manager, Human Resources to provide expert strategic and technical human resource advice to support Parish School communities to effectively manage their people, and achieve change and business outcomes.
As a HR BP this role supports the underlying Mission of Catholic Education in the Diocese of Lismore by delivering services that contribute to enabling students to achieve the fullness of life.
Work Requirements:
- A current/valid Australian Driver’s Licence and eligibility to work within Australia for the period of the appointment
- Hold a valid NSW Working with Children Check, or ability to obtain if the successful candidate
- Requirement to travel between locations.
Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources Management, or Business.
Work Experience:
- Two - three years of relevant work experience in human resources, preferably within a business partner role.
Key Capabilities:
- Demonstrated understanding of human resource practices including data analytics skills.
- Knowledge of WH&S and equity principles in the workplace and any other legislation likely to impact the role.
- Ability to develop, deliver, evaluate and review training for small and large groups.
- Highly developed skills in oral, written, interpersonal communication and stakeholder management.
- Demonstrated ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion and within relevant guidelines.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member and promote a collaborative culture.
