We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our vibrant team at multiple schools in Blackburn. The Role:As an HLTA, you will work closely with class teachers and the wider school team to provide high-quality support across the curriculum. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the delivery of lessons and helping to create a positive, engaging classroom environment
  • Providing targeted support to individual pupils or small groups, including those with additional needs
  • Assisting with planning, preparation, and assessment to ensure the highest standards of teaching and learning
  • Supervising and supporting students during non-teaching times, such as break times and lunch
  • Contributing to the overall development and wellbeing of pupils across the school
  • What We Are Looking For:

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent (or significant experience working at HLTA level)
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the primary curriculum and learning strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to motivate, support, and inspire children
  • A proactive and flexible approach to supporting classroom activities
  • Experience working with children with additional needs is desirable, but not essential
  • A commitment to ensuring that every child is supported to achieve their potential
