About the Role
Veritas Education is working in partnership with a successful and inclusive secondary school in the Bradford area to recruit an enthusiastic and knowledgeable History Teacher for a full-time, long-term position starting in September 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive Humanities department and inspire students through the study of local, national, and international history. The successful candidate will help students develop critical thinking, analytical skills, and a deeper understanding of the events that have shaped the modern world.
Applications are welcomed from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and high-quality History lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with the national curriculumEncourage students to develop their analytical, research, and evaluative skillsDifferentiate lessons to support students of all abilitiesMonitor and assess student progress, providing effective feedbackMaintain high standards of behaviour and classroom managementContribute to departmental planning and wider school initiativesPromote a passion for History both inside and outside the classroomThe Ideal Candidate
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)Has experience teaching History within a secondary school settingPossesses strong subject knowledge and a passion for the subjectDemonstrates excellent communication and classroom management skillsIs committed to raising attainment and student achievementHas a strong understanding of safeguarding responsibilitiesECTs are encouraged to applyWhat the School Offers
