Position Information
Oran Park High School, which opened at the start of the 2020, is a future focused learning partnership with high expectations that meets the individual needs of all learners. Housed in new, state-of-the art facilities, the school has a strong focus on relationships, high quality and innovative teaching and learning, and links to the local and wider community, particularly the partner primary schools. Built to meet the population needs of the Oran Park/Catherine Park growth corridor, the school will eventually be home to up to 2000 students, with a current population of approximately 1500, including a Support Unit catering for the needs of students with Autism and Multi-Categorical diagnoses. Oran Park High School has 6% of students who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and 51% of students who have a language background other than English. 2. Demonstrated capacity to develop, coordinate and manage a broad range of student wellbeing initiatives to meet the needs of students.
3. Highly developed organisational skills and a flexible approach which motivates a dynamic team of staff to foster transition support for students into, and out of school.
4. Demonstrated capacity and commitment to work effectively in an executive team and contribute to the leadership of the school's strategic directions.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
