Position Information
Cumberland High School (CHS) is a comprehensive high school, with a population of approximately 1200 students, located in Carlingford. The school has a diverse cultural population including 73.9% non-English speaking background and 57 different languages. Our school is driven by the core values of Respect, Responsibility and Excellence. These values permeate the teaching and learning environment and provide the context that enables students to thrive and reach their potential. Specific Selection Criteria
- Experience leading and evaluating whole-school programs designed to meet the diverse learning needs of all students.
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead an effective learning support team that delivers professional development and resources to staff, helping them better support students with additional learning needs.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective partnerships with external agencies, families, and the school community.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of the school executive team, contributing actively to the development and progress of the school’s strategic goals.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
