Position Information
Ariah Park Central is the only school in a small, rural community 100 kilometers north-west of Wagga. The school strives to provide equity of access to educational opportunities across the Kindergarten to Year 12 curriculum while encouraging a culture of caring support in a family atmosphere. We have recently embedded the Berry Street Education Model in our school as well as The Resilience Project. As part of the Riverina Access Program which delivers senior secondary curriculum via video conferencing technology, the school is at the cutting edge of educational innovation. This is a unique opportunity for a passionate educator to join our K-12 team to support the welfare of all students across our school. The successful applicant will as a part of their role be overseeing wellbeing programs across the school, liaising with stakeholders to support students, leading our Learning and Support Team (including our Inclusive Education Teacher) and leading our Attendance Team.

Specific Selection Criteria
1. Ability to lead the establishment, development and implementation of proactive and inclusive wellbeing strategies and policies to respond to student attendance/wellbeing requirements with evidence of student impact.
2. Demonstrated capacity to effectively case manage complex student wellbeing needs by developing highly productive partnerships with external support services, DoE Student Wellbeing Support Directorate staff, families and communities.
3. Capacity to lead a team of teaching and non-teaching staff in a manner that nurtures personal wellbeing, including supporting colleagues to manage the pressures and complexities of their work whilst maintaining a concentrated focus on continuous improvement in student outcomes.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
