Position Information
Erskine Park High School is a comprehensive Western Sydney school located in the Eastern Creek network of schools. The school’s 830 enrolment includes 5% of students who identify as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and a further 30% of students who come from backgrounds where English is an Additional Language or Dialect. The school also has an Inclusive Education program (Support Unit) made up of seven classes. Key whole school initiatives include a focus on explicit and visible teaching and learning in all classrooms; high expectations regarding student behaviour; innovative wellbeing programs; extensive professional learning opportunities to develop the capacity of all staff to enhance their classroom practice; vocational education opportunities for students and an inclusive school culture. Outstanding communication skills with the ability to foster positive relationships with students, staff and parents/carers.
Proven ability to build the capacity of the TAS staff to positively impact their professional growth.
Demonstrated capacity to lead innovative teaching and learning programs that cater for a diverse student population.
Ability to work collaboratively as a member of the executive team to drive continuous improvement and support whole school initiatives to improve student learning outcomes.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
