Position Information
Sir Joseph Banks High School is a coeducational secondary school that includes a Support Unit catering to three Intellectually Mild classes, three Intellectually Moderate/AU classes, and one AU class. We are a vibrant and proudly inclusive multicultural learning community, with 85% of our students from Language Backgrounds Other Than English (LBOTE) and 24 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. Specific Selection Criteria
Proven ability to work collaboratively with the executive team to lead, manage and implement whole-school initiatives that drive the effective delivery of the School Excellence Plan.
Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, along with strong organisational and management capabilities, to successfully manage resources and systems in a diverse TAS faculty.
Demonstrated capacity as a visible leader to develop and support staff at all career stages through targeted professional learning, evidence-based reflective teaching practices, and fostering a culture of high expectations that strengthens quality teaching, learning, and assessment.
Expertise and capacity to build, promote and develop the TAS faculty to cater to all individual needs and pathways, across a growing high school.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
