Position Information
Macarthur Girls High School, with an enrolment of 1056 students, is located in Parramatta, the demographic centre of Sydney on the banks of the Parramatta River. Over 90% of our students are from language backgrounds other than English. The school’s purpose is to encourage students to achieve their personal best and beyond, empowering them with the necessary skills to be successful citizens in an ever-changing world. The school has a very positive reputation in the broader community, having been identified as an Ambassador School in 2021. Specific Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated capacity to lead the development and implementation of innovative and effective teaching and learning practices across diverse TAS subject areas.
- Demonstrated capacity to lead the ongoing development of authentic assessment practices that are informed by evidence-based approaches and the skilled use of data.
- Willingness to teach VET Hospitality (Food and Beverage) course and knowledge of the VET Hospitality framework.
- Capacity to be an effective member of the school executive team.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
