Position Information
Students at Balranald Central School access a continuum of learning across K-12 in a caring and friendly environment. Our current enrolment is 190 students, including 40 Aboriginal students. All staff know students and focus on academic achievement and wellbeing in a positive school culture.
The closest major centres are in Victoria and many services are accessed from these locations. The community and shire are strong supporters of the school and Balranald.

General Selection Criteria
Specific Selection Criteria
Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position. In addition to the general selection criteria, approval to teach Technology Mandatory and at least one Stage 6 Technological and Applied Studies subject.
- Ability to provide educational leadership to a diverse team with a focus on high expectations, differentiated teaching and learning and student engagement across a broad range of VET and TAS subjects.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with all stakeholders and engage students, staff and the community as a collaborative, approachable and visible leader
- Demonstrated capacity to be a committed, dynamic member of the executive leadership team and lead initiatives that address whole school strategic direction
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
