Position Information
Eagle Vale High School is a comprehensive high school situated in the Macarthur Region. We serve the communities of Eagle Vale, Kearns, Claymore, Eschol Park, Blair Athol and Blairmount. The school is a vibrant, culturally diverse community of 21 nationalities with an enrolment of approximately 600 students, including 10% Aboriginal.
In 2024 Eagle Vale High School has begun the process of establishing a Targeted Sports Program (TSP) stream which allows talented and dedicated sportspeople to continue their development in their chosen sport, whilst also striving for academic excellence. We are excited to be welcoming our first cohorts in 2025, starting with Year 7 and Year 9.

Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position. In addition to the general selection criteria,

Approval to teach Special Education and capacity to lead a faculty that effectively meets student needs including intellectual disabilities and complex communication and behavioural needs.

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with all stakeholders to develop, implement and evaluate quality individualised learning and support programs, including transition programs, to facilitate improved outcomes for students with a disability.

Demonstrated capacity to contribute to whole school initiatives and proven ability to work collaboratively with the executive team to meet whole school priorities.

Demonstrated highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with proven capacity to build relationships and effectively communicate with staff, students, parents and interagency groups to support students with a range of learning and wellbeing needs.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
