Position Information
Glenwood High School is a 7 - 12 comprehensive, coeducational high school with an enrolment of over 1500 students including 70% from a non-English speaking background. Glenwood High School has an Inclusive Education Unit of 30 students. Established in 2005, the school is a Public Private Partnership (PPP) with excellent resources and facilities. The school features 48 new flexible learning spaces as a result of a recent school upgrade. These learning environments offer teachers flexibility in teaching methods and provide a variety of opportunities to enhance student collaboration, communication and engagement. The school is driven by a strong tradition of excellence, achieved in an innovative, progressive, and highly structured teaching and learning environment. The school offers a broad curriculum catering for a diverse group of learners with a focus on quality teaching, student engagement, restorative practices and innovative student welfare and leadership within an environment where technology is embedded. Glenwood High School is defined by high expectations of all students in all areas of their life including their conduct, achievements inside and outside the classroom as well as future aspirations. Student leadership is a driving force, and the wider student body has a clear voice through the prefect body, House Captains, SRC, Student Advocacy Team and their student leaders. The school enjoys strong parental and community support and has positive links with partner primary schools.

Specific Selection Criteria
1. Demonstrated consultative leadership and the capacity to work collaboratively and dynamically with the executive team to implement, lead and manage whole school initiatives focused on achieving school and system priorities.
2. Highly developed interpersonal skills that demonstrate the ability to build upon positive relationships to further strengthen partnerships with staff, students, parents and the wider community.
3. Demonstrated capacity to lead whole-school and stage-based student engagement and behaviour practices that promote high expectations, consistency, and positive learning environments.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
