Position Information
Arthur Phillip High School is situated in the progressive and rapidly expanding CBD city of Parramatta, bringing an exciting and dynamic energy to the school. The school is culturally diverse and has a student population of 1600 with 93% having English as an additional language or dialect (representing over 40 different cultures). The school boasts facilities that incorporate future-focused, flexible teaching spaces with adaptable/moveable furniture and room configurations. The learning spaces are technology-rich to serve multiple learning contexts from large class groups to small clusters, providing better opportunities for innovation, collaboration, personalised and individualised learning. Arthur Phillip High School incorporates science, technology, engineering, the arts and mathematics (STEAM) areas, fitness labs for physical education classes, and wet and dry studios for music instruction and practice. Specific Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated capacity to maximise success for students at key transition points into, through and beyond school, while involving parents, carers and community.
- Demonstrated expertise in driving whole school initiatives that support effective implementation of the school’s Strategic Improvement Plan and student growth and attainment.
- Demonstrated highly-developed interpersonal skills and proven ability to work collaboratively with the school’s Executive team.
- Demonstrated capacity to lead whole school compliance with legislative, administrative and organisational requirements, including DoE and NESA processes.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
