Position Information
Rouse Hill High School is a comprehensive high school in the growing northwest Sydney area. In 2025, it is expected that student numbers will reach 1410 with a teaching staff of 92. Additional to our mainstream, the school has one autism class. Stage six students study the Higher School Certificate using the compressed curriculum model. The school has a focus on collaborative practice to improve teaching practice and student outcomes. There is a strong culture of allowing staff opportunities for growth and development through whole school initiatives and leadership roles. The school is supported by small but active P&C.
General Selection Criteria
Specific Selection Criteria
· Approval to teach PDHPE (7-12) with demonstrated evidence of exceptional classroom teaching and results driven by data informed practice
· Demonstrated expertise in evaluative thinking and ability to collaboratively drive whole school initiatives that support effective implementation of the School Excellence Plan and student growth and attainment
· Demonstrated ability to work with other faculty leaders to establish and maintain high expectations
· Outstanding organisational skills and proven ability to lead an effective school sports program
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
