Position Information
Opening Day 1, Term 1, 2027, Jordan Springs High School will serve the growing communities of Jordan Springs and Ropes Crossing. Designed with a capacity for 1,000 students, initial enrolments will include Year 7 and Year 8 cohorts alongside three specialised support classes catering to students with diagnosed disabilities and additional learning needs. The school’s master plan accommodates anticipated future growth and incorporates state-of-the-art learning environments, a contemporary library, and versatile outdoor spaces that foster collaboration, wellbeing, and evidence-based instructional practices.
The educational framework will emphasise Explicit Teaching and talent development strategies consistent with the Department of Education’s High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE) Policy. Serving a diverse, multicultural community where partner primary schools report between 44% and 63% of students from language backgrounds other than English, the school will prioritise equity and excellence, fostering a strong sense of belonging and forging authentic community partnerships.
This position offers a unique opportunity to join the foundation team and play a pivotal role in establishing the school from inception. Collaborating directly with the Foundation Principal and leadership team, staff will contribute to the development of whole-school systems, structures, curriculum, and pedagogical approaches that will define the school’s future.
The successful candidate will actively build robust professional relationships, contribute to a positive and inclusive culture, and support initiatives that enhance student engagement, achievement, and wellbeing.
