Position Information
Castle Hill High School is a large, comprehensive secondary school. The school has 132 teaching staff and 1825 students, 62% of whom are from a non-English speaking background. Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position. In addition to the general selection criteria,
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with the executive team to lead, manage and implement initiatives aligned to whole-school strategic directions, with a clear focus on improving student learning, engagement and school-wide improvement.
- Proven ability to use data and assessment to identify priorities and lead improvement in teaching practice and student performance.
- Demonstrated expertise in 7-12 PDHPE curriculum and assessment, with the ability to guide the successful implementation of the syllabus through effective planning, programming, and evaluative practices.
- Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal, communication and leadership skills, with evidence of building the capacity of the PDHPE faculty to embed a culture of high expectations, professional growth and continuous improvement, while fostering positive, productive relationships across the wider school community.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
