Position Information

Glenmore Park High School is a modern, co-educational, comprehensive high school in Western Sydney located in a community experiencing significant growth. The school has an enrolment of 982 students, 8% Aboriginal, and includes a special education unit of eight classes. The school provides excellent opportunities for individual student success in a caring educational environment.

The school has extremely strong connections with partner primary and secondary schools, Western Sydney University (WSU), our local Aboriginal Education Group and the wider business community. General Selection Criteria
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy
Specific Selection Criteria
Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position. In addition to the general selection criteria, 
1. Approval to teach Mathematics Extensions 1 & 2
2. Proven expertise in mathematics curriculum and capacity to lead a team through curriculum reform, to ensure implementation of innovative evidence-based teaching and learning.
3. Demonstrated ability to inspire, develop and lead teachers at all stages of their career through professional learning and evidence informed, reflective teaching practices that promote high-quality teaching and learning.
4. Proven interpersonal skills that demonstrate a capacity to strengthen relationships with students, teaching colleagues, parents and the wider community.
5. Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively as part of the school executive team to drive evidence-based teaching initiatives related to the school's strategic improvement plan, system targets and the implementation of DoE policies that have sustained impact on positive student growth.
Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
