Position Information
Broken Hill High School is a comprehensive high school with 435 students (22% Aboriginal) in Far West New South Wales. The school is proud of its academic, cultural and sporting achievements as well as its ability to cater for all students. The school has seven support classes for students with disabilities and diverse learning needs. The school has an ongoing partnership with Aurora College and shares some senior curriculum with a neighbouring high school. Strong community ties are evident through the Parents and Citizens Committee. The school has a strong welfare focus and has a positive behaviour focus. The Clontarf Foundation has set up an academy at the school to assist Aboriginal boys with their education and career pathways.

Ability to lead your team to cater for a culturally diverse range of students and ensure that Aboriginal perspectives and practices are introduced.
Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively with the executive team, school and wider community to implement programs that address whole school numeracy priorities and initiatives.
Strong commitment to differentiated teaching, learning and assessment to provide equitable opportunities for all students.
Demonstrated ability to provide strong educational leadership for a range of staff at different career stages with the ability to lead the development of high-quality teaching and learning.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
