Position Information
Cheltenham Girls’ High School with an enrolment of 1400 students, including 69% students from a non-English speaking background, is a leading comprehensive girls' school with strong traditions. The school is committed to providing all students with opportunities to achieve excellence in all areas of student achievement. The school has dedicated and highly experienced staff, and articulate and involved parents. School strategic directions include strengthening the partnership between the school and the community, supporting literacy, numeracy and HSC. Curriculum differentiation is implemented for all students across all key learning areas and supporting the delivery of high quality teaching in every classroom. The school enrolls an HPGE class in Year 7 each year. This position involves managing a faculty of diverse skills and abilities and working collaboratively to support whole school creative and performing arts activities.
General Selection Criteria
Specific Selection Criteria
Capacity to lead staff from across CAPA to deliver high quality curriculum through differentiated teaching and learning assessment practices that cater to high potential and gifted, and creative and performing arts students.
Capacity to provide strong educational leadership to collaborate with co – curricular teams and administrative and executive staff to support the implementation of whole school performances, exhibitions and curriculum events.
Demonstrated ability to cultivate positive relationships with faculty, the executive team and the wider school and educational community through exemplary interpersonal, collaborative and communication skills
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
