The Head of the Senior Preparatory School reports to the Vice Principal and is responsible for the academic, pastoral, operational and Christian leadership of the Ginahgulla Campus.
The Head provides strategic and day-to-day leadership of Years 5–6, ensuring curriculum quality, NESA compliance and data-informed improvement. This role cultivates a high-expectation culture aligned to the College’s “Brave Hearts, Bold Minds” model, strengthening behaviour, character formation and transition to Year 7. As the visible leader of the campus, the Head mentors staff, oversees pastoral and discipline systems, manages budget and operations, and partners closely with parents to ensure each boy’s holistic development within a distinctly Presbyterian framework.
Key Selection Criteria
- Commitment to modelling and promoting the Presbyterian evangelical ethos of the College, providing visible Christian leadership that shapes the faith and character of boys in Years 5–6.
- Proven educational leadership in Stage 3, ensuring curriculum quality, NESA compliance, and data-informed practice to strengthen academic outcomes and engagement.
- Capacity to cultivate a positive, high-expectation culture that promotes respectful behaviour, personal responsibility, and strong alignment across the Preparatory and Middle School.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and mentor staff, fostering a stable, high-performing team through clear expectations, professional growth, and pastoral care.
- Effective operational leadership in managing a Years 5–6 campus, including student wellbeing, discipline, staffing, budget oversight, and compliance responsibilities.
- Highly developed relational skills to build trust with parents and staff as the visible leader of the Ginahgulla campus and an engaged member of the wider College community.
Offered as a full-time ongoing position, the College is seeking to appoint the successful candidate at the earliest mutually agreed commencement date. Applicants must have the right to work in Australia and be a practising Christian, with relevant academic qualifications and leadership experience in a primary setting.
