About the Role:
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Lead and manage the school's Special Education Services, providing strategic direction, high-quality advice, and specialist support to school leaders, teachers, and staff to ensure inclusive practices and effective reasonable adjustments for students with disability.
- Coordinate the planning, delivery, and evaluation of targeted interventions, case management, and specialist support programs for students requiring supplementary, substantial, or extensive adjustments, while facilitating access to departmental and external specialist services.
- Develop, implement, and monitor school-wide systems and processes, including student data management, disability records, and the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD), to support compliance and continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain collaborative partnerships with parents, carers, government agencies, and community organisations to enhance educational outcomes and wellbeing for students with disability.
- Manage the human, financial, curriculum, and physical resources of Special Education Services, while contributing to whole-school leadership, strategic planning, decision-making, and staff professional learning to achieve school priorities.
