As the Head of Special Education Services, you will:
- Promote an inclusive culture and practices within the school community to ensure equity and excellence for students with disability.
- Develop and support a high quality of teaching and adjustments for students with disability in accordance with related legislation and policies.
About the Role:
Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
- Lead and coordinate the Special Education and/or Early Childhood Development Program to deliver high-quality advice and support for students with disability.
- Provide expert guidance to school leaders and teachers to plan, implement and monitor effective reasonable adjustments and inclusive practices.
- Deliver and coordinate targeted intervention, case management and intensive support for students requiring substantial or extensive adjustments.
- Oversee school-wide systems, including data collection and compliance requirements such as the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD).
- Build staff capability and maintain strong partnerships with families, external agencies and community services to enhance student outcomes.
