About the Role
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Inclusive Leadership - Promote an inclusive school environment where every student can thrive.
- Student Support - Provide direct support, case management, and targeted teaching for students with disabilities across the cluster schools.
- Teacher Support & Development - Guide and mentor teachers in making reasonable adjustments and implementing best-practice teaching strategies.
- Collaboration & Partnerships - Work with parents, external agencies, and the wider school community to support students' diverse needs.
- Data & Compliance - Implement school-wide data systems to monitor students with disabilities and ensure compliance with the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD).
- Resource & Program Management - Oversee human, financial, and physical resources to enhance the effectiveness of the Special Education Program.
About You
Skills & Experience:
- Teaching Qualification - Full registration or provisional registration (with eligibility for full registration) as a teacher in Queensland.
- Special Education Expertise - Experience in supporting students with disabilities and applying inclusive education strategies.
- Leadership & Collaboration - Strong ability to lead, manage teams, and work effectively with staff, students, and parents across multiple school sites.
- Analytical & Organisational Skills - Ability to manage data, resources, and programs efficiently.
- Experience in case management of students requiring extensive or substantial adjustments.
- Familiarity with Queensland's inclusive education policies and NCCD data processes.
- Strong knowledge of positive behaviour support frameworks and trauma-informed practices.
