About Us:
Berrinba East State School is situated in Berrinba, Logan City. It's located south of Brisbane, approximately 21 km from the CBD. Berrinba is a residential and rural area, with substantial commercial land use, and some industrial areas. Berrinba is named from an Aboriginal word meaning “to the south”.
The school was established in 1977. School facilities comprise 25 classrooms, specialist science and music facilities, media room, library and hall. The grounds feature significant trees, native gardens and active play areas.
Berrinba East State School celebrates a diverse mix of students. Of our 500 students, approximately 54% come from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, with 42% who are Pacific Islanders, predominantly Samoan. We have 8% who are Indigenous and approximately 11% who are verified with a disability.

About the Role:
Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
- Manage and coordinate the delivery of high-quality advice and support provided by the Special Education Program and/or Early Childhood Development Program.
- Lead and manage the Special Education Program and/or Early Childhood Development Program to provide advice to classroom teachers for students with disability as needed.
- Provide high quality advice to the school leadership team, classroom teachers and other school staff to develop, plan and implement effective reasonable adjustments for students with disability.
- Coordinate and provide intensive targeted teaching for students requiring intervention.
- Provide, support and/or coordinate case management for students who require extensive or substantial adjustments.
