About the Role:
As the Head of Special Education Services, you will:
- To foster and promote the inclusive culture and practices within the school community to ensure continued equity and excellence for students with a disability.
- To provide leadership and guidance of the Special Education Program and School Leadership Teams to support the achievement of quality learning outcomes for students with disability.
- To lead, develop and support high quality teaching and adjustments for students with disability including co-teaching, intensive targeted teaching, and academic case management.
- To manage and co-ordinate the delivery of high-quality advice and support provided by the Special Education Program to ensure reasonable adjustments and tailored supports are in place for students with disability.
- To lead and co-ordinate the case management of students with a disability including: consulting and collaborating with students, parents, school staff and cross disciplinary teams.
- To monitor, review and implement school wide systems that ensure students with a disability can realise their potential.
The Head of Special Education Services is accountable to and under the direction of the Principal or delegate.
