About Upper Coomera State College

UCSC is a dynamic P-12 college in the Northern Gold Coast corridor. The current enrolment of 1800 students includes 700 students in the P-6 years. Staff, students and parents have a strong commitment to the college and its ongoing improvement agenda.

Your Role

  • Provide leadership to the Primary School section of the college undertaking duties consistent with the Principal of a standalone Primary School.
  • Align strategic work to the College Strategic Plan
  • Participate in the Executive Leadership team providing College strategic direction.
  • Manage the corporate services of the Primary School section of the College.

The Head of School reports to the College Executive Principal.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead the Primary School community to focus on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
  • Form partnerships with parents, community groups, and business.
  • Understand and implement the legislation and policies that impact on schooling.
  • Manage resources effectively to achieve goals.

  • Proven ability to build and participate in quality teams.
  • You are a hardworking, confident and courageous leader.
  • High level capacity as an Instructional Leader.
  • Broad experience building capacity in leaders throughout the school.
  • Setting high standards for student and staff performance.
  • You are data informed, futures oriented and strategic.
  • You have previous school based educational leadership experience.
