Commencing in January 2025, Fintona is seeking a Head of Pedagogy & Curriculum to join our School and become an essential member of our Leadership Team.  Working closely with our Learning Area Leaders, this position leads the School, Prep to Year 12, in the review, development and implementation of curriculum, pedagogy, assessment, feedback and reporting, as well as guiding the professional learning of teaching staff in these areas. 

This role also leads staff in shaping our School’s academic culture, of student aspiration and commitment to excellence, as well as further developing a sense of collective efficacy amongst staff. 

An experienced, passionate, innovative and visionary educational leader with strategic and operational acumen, the Head of Pedagogy & Curriculum will build on the existing expectations of high academic standards and educational offerings.  This role requires significant expertise in the use of data to inform teaching practices, and the successful applicant will be expected to lead the implementation of a learning data strategy as well as lead the development of staff in this area. 

This role would be well suited to a dynamic and innovative educational leader with a track record of continual growth and development of school programs and people, so that its students are best served for life within and beyond school.

This role includes a teaching component and is integral to our student care and support in maximising student care and safety.  Embedded in the ethos and life of the School, this role participates in school events and student activities, represents the school at external events and attend excursions and camps (outdoor and adventure).
