This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced educator to join a dedicated Junior School team. The successful applicant will have a sound knowledge of early years students and suitable pastoral care programs. In addition, the person who fills this position will be recognised as an exemplary teaching practitioner and demonstrate excellence in their own classroom performance.
This Junior School role has three significant responsibilities:
- leading the teaching staff in the development and delivery of a coherent pastoral care program
- supporting student wellbeing
- leading the teaching team in the implementation of the principles of Visible Wellbeing
Trinity College is a multi-site, independent, co-educational Anglican College founded in a liberal educational tradition and located in the northern Adelaide region. Co-curricular activities (cultural and physical) are part of a total education in a caring, Christian environment.
To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and attributes:
- Suitable tertiary qualifications (a postgraduate qualification in a field related to pastoral care or similar would be an advantage).
- Registered to teach in South Australia or be eligible to obtain registration.
- Have an understanding of and commitment to Christian education.
- Have the desire and skills to participate in the College's extra-curricular program.
- Have the interpersonal skills to quickly achieve trust and respect from the teaching team.
- Be able to respond positively to the expectations of a modern school.
- Be able to set high standards for student behaviour and teacher performance.
- Have the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people both verbally and in writing.
- Have the knowledge of and a commitment to the principles of equal opportunity and work safety.

This position of Head of Pastoral Care leadership is across years R-2 and working collaboratively with the Head of Pastoral Care JS (Yr 3-6) leader. This position attracts a POR 3 ($18,475) allowance.
