About this job

Inspire, Lead & Champion Young Lives on Sydney’s Northern Beaches!

Are you an authentic Christian leader with a passion for vibrant primary education, pedagogical innovation, and nurturing student character?

Oxford Falls Grammar (OFG) is looking for an extraordinary, forward-thinking Head of Junior School to join our Executive Leadership Team. Set on a bushland campus on Sydney’s spectacular Northern Beaches, OFG is a thriving, co-educational K–12 Christian school where faith, excellence, and community meet.

If you love seeing children flourish academically, socially, and spiritually — and thrive in a warm, high-energy environment filled with purpose — this is your moment.

About the Role

As Head of Junior School, you will bring visionary, relational, and Christ-centred leadership to our Kindergarten through Year 6 community. Working directly alongside the Principal and Executive Team, you will set the culture, shape learning, and inspire a talented, enthusiastic team of educators.

You’ll lead an active Junior School campus that deeply values our 6 Enduring Qualities (EQs): Curiosity, Critical Thinking, Respect, Kindness, Confidence, and Resilience.

Key Focus Areas:

Faith & Ethos Leadership: Champion a vibrant Christian environment where faith is lived out in practice through staff devotions, chapels, and a Christ-centred approach to teaching and care.
Educational Innovation: Drive engaging, high-impact learning, continuous curriculum improvement, and contemporary pedagogical practices across Kindergarten to Stage 3.
Pastoral Care & Character: Foster an inclusive culture grounded in restorative practices and strong wellbeing frameworks where every child is known, cared for, and empowered.
Staff Mentorship & Growth: Lead, coach, and inspire Junior School staff within a collaborative Professional Learning Community.
Vibrant Community Engagement: Build warm, genuine relationships with parents, families, and the wider Northern Beaches community.

A copy of the full role description can be found on the school website.

The role would ideally commence in Term 4 2026, however we would be willing to negotiate a Term 1 2027 start for the right applicant.

Why You’ll Love Working at OFG

Unbeatable Northern Beaches Location: Work in an expansive bushland setting just minutes from Sydney’s iconic beaches, offering an incredible lifestyle balance.
Authentic Christian Community: Be part of a spirit-led, faith-filled team that lives out its motto — For Greatness, For Excellence, For Christ.
Culture of Innovation: Join a school that embraces contemporary learning spaces, pedagogical excellence, and forward-looking educational technologies.
Dynamic Executive Team: Work alongside a supportive, collaborative, and fun leadership team dedicated to continuous school improvement.

About You

We are seeking a warm, high-impact leader who brings:

Active Christian Faith: A deep, vibrant faith reflected in your life, local church engagement, and a heart for Christian education.
Proven Educational Leadership: Track record of driving learning growth, staff development, and pedagogical success in a Primary/Junior School setting.
Qualifications & NESA Accreditation: Tertiary qualifications in Education (Postgraduate leadership studies highly desirable) and current NESA teaching accreditation.
Relational Warmth & Vision: Strong emotional intelligence, outstanding communication skills, and the capacity to inspire confidence across students, staff, and parents.

Come and lead a Junior School community where students love to learn and faith is at the heart of everything we do.
