About the Role

This exciting opportunity will allow the successful applicant to lead the Humanities, Business and Languages Department to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focused on providing quality learning outcomes for all students, while nurturing positive relationships between students, teachers and stakeholders.

Yeronga State High School is located in Brisbane's inner south side. We are a medium-sized school with approximately 955 students. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Leading the Humanities, Business and Languages Department to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students with a particular focus on language education.
  • Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
  • Set high standards for student and staff performance.
  • Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
  • The successful candidate will be committed to and supportive of the expansion of the Spanish Immersion Academy program in 2025. The candidate must also bring a breadth of curriculum knowledge to this role.
