About the School:
Runcorn State High School is a vibrant and culturally diverse school with a focus on building responsibility for learning through high expectations and personalised learning. The Arts program at the school includes subjects such as Visual Arts, Drama, Music and Film and Television and all of these subjects have pathways into the senior school. We also have a strong tradition of special events in the Arts with our Karawatha Instrumental Music Mentoring Program, Arts Fusion Showcase, school plays, musicals, gig nights and involvement in the Logan Artwaves competition.
About the Role:
You will have responsibility for leading the following activities and delivery of the following key tasks:
- Lead the school department to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
- Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
- Form partnerships with students, parents, other government agencies, and community groups.
