Established in 1960, Yeronga SHS is a strongly connected, environmentally conscious school community that has the well-being of the child central to all learning experiences. About the Role

Lead the Teaching and Learning to develop, articulate, and commit to a shared educational vision focused on ensuring consistent practices across the school, particularly in moderation, implementation of Version 9 of The Australian Curriculum, and establishing a whole-school approach to pedagogy. A key focus will also be identifying and supporting gifted and talented students who require extension. A strong understanding of curriculum development and commitment to fostering student growth is essential for this role.

As the Head of Department, you will:

  • Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
  • Set high standards for student and staff performance.
  • Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
  • Form partnerships with students, parents, other government agencies, and community groups.

A mandatory requirement of this role is:
