About the role:

As the Head of Department - learning and teaching, key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Instructional leadership across the whole school community, working collaboratively with the Associate Principal - Learning & Teaching, to lead the school's strategic direction of Learning and Teaching practices, providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Lead with a future mindset, actively engaging in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
  • Lead implementation of consistent pedagogical practices to deliver a guaranteed and viable curriculum.
  • Develop teacher quality through leadership of the Early Career Teachers' Program.
  • Lead, support and improve teacher capability to build classroom practice, where all students engage, think deeply, and experience success.
  • Drive teacher quality and performance to provide learning and teaching that fully engages students in their learning.
