About the role:
As the Head of Department - learning and teaching, key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Instructional leadership across the whole school community, working collaboratively with the Associate Principal - Learning & Teaching, to lead the school's strategic direction of Learning and Teaching practices, providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Lead with a future mindset, actively engaging in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
- Lead implementation of consistent pedagogical practices to deliver a guaranteed and viable curriculum.
- Develop teacher quality through leadership of the Early Career Teachers' Program.
- Lead, support and improve teacher capability to build classroom practice, where all students engage, think deeply, and experience success.
- Drive teacher quality and performance to provide learning and teaching that fully engages students in their learning.
