Based in the South Burnett, Proston State School is a vibrant learning environment. We are only three hours from Brisbane. Boondoomba Dam provides a perfect recreational location, as do the many wineries throughout the region.
Our school community strives for the 'optimum development of all in our care' and our focus is on 'Every day Every Student is Learning and Achieving in Every Classroom'.
We offer a range of opportunities for students including our Kitchen Garden Project for primary aged students and our Rural Studies Program for secondary students.
In 2010 the school established our cattle breeding program as a registered Limousin Stud - Dangora Gully with the support of local breeders and the local community.
The Rural program also explores small cropping and poultry/egg production and supplies eggs to the local community.

Responsibilities include:
- Provide leadership and guidance for the implementation of innovative measures aimed at improving student learning outcomes and attendance in schools where a significant percentage of students may have a disadvantaged background, ensuring quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Where requested, prepare all data returns for the Principal.
- Provide management and engagement strategies including induction activities of new arrivals, and advise on specific academic, social and emotional needs of new arrivals.
- Monitor students' individual performance and behaviour and develop and implement intervention strategies where necessary.
- Communicate and work with parents, staff, higher education institutes and State Schools Division to develop strategies to improve learning outcomes, student achievements and attendance.
