About Yarrabilba State Secondary College
Yarrabilba State Secondary College provides students with a unique educational experience unlike any other Logan Secondary College. Our point of difference is that we deliver Australian Curriculum through outdoor, cross-curricular and project-based learning, balancing the use of technology with human connection and learning in the natural environment. Our junior secondary program includes targeted and personalised learning to maximise success and engagement for every student.
About the Role
Working closely with the Principal and Executive Leadership Team, the HOD - Student Engagement will pioneer a strong, lasting foundation to benefit the school, teachers, students and community. This opportunity requires the successful candidate to have strong flexibility, independence, relational leadership skills, change management and communication skills.
The HOD - Student Engagement exercises their role in direct negotiation and liaison with the Deputy Principals. The major focus of their role is ensuring the well-being and learning of students, implementing policies and practices that ensure safe behaviours and productive learning environments. They will be responsible for ensuring effective communication with parents to ensure the partnership is maintained.
The HOD - Student Engagement will operate in a behaviour management context for year 9 students. The HOD in this role may be required to assist with other subject/administrative areas if needed.
