A little over an hour from Brisbane, Kilcoy is surrounded by a scenic landscape of rolling hills and rugged mountain ranges with views over the northern reaches of Lake Somerset. About the Role
The Head of Department - Student Engagement, will work closely with students, their families and teachers to support students to engage positively in the school and achieve individualised success.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Be an active member of the school PBL team and 4 Dimensions for positive interactions team
- Analyse junior secondary specific data to collaborate with the junior secondary deputy principal to lead the development and implementation of appropriate tiered intervention strategies, including tracking academic engagement, attendance and behaviour
- Contribute to weekly student support team meetings
- Case manage identified students
- Lead and oversee co curricula and extra-curricular programs to build a positive culture of engagement and learning
- Work closely with parents to achieve shared goals for their students
