About the Role

Blackwater State School is a rural P-6 school located in the Central Highlands Region, on Ghungalu country. We are seeking a highly effective teacher and instructional leader who is capable of implementing our combined school's Flexispace program. This is an exciting opportunity to provide students who are showing early signs of disengagement or who are not thriving in their mainstream classes, a tailored and innovative, high-quality teaching and learning environment.

The position will be based at Blackwater State School with an opening of spaces being made available for Blackwater North State School students to come across to our campus in Term 3 and 4.

Our FlexiSpace Lead will ideally be:

  • an experienced teacher with expertise in, or knowledge of inclusive practice; or a teacher who is committed to rapidly developing their skills and knowledge of inclusive practice;
  • committed to ensuring students achieve quality educational outcomes by providing uninterrupted access to the curriculum; and high-impact teaching
  • committed to differentiating teaching practice and educational program delivery to meet student needs;
  • committed to using and sharing inclusive teaching sharing practice with all staff;
  • committed to working with parents/carers, internal support staff and external agencies to support student learning, engagement and wellbeing.
