About Us:
Located centrally on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, Chancellor State College is a five minute drive to Mooloolaba, and is a one hour drive north of Brisbane. Our college enjoys a partnership with the University of the Sunshine Coast to deliver world class educational opportunities to all in the Sippy Downs Educational Precinct. Chancellor State College operates across two campuses—Primary and Secondary—each led by a dedicated campus principal. These principals are responsible for ensuring every student achieves their full potential, with a strong emphasis on delivering excellence in teaching and learning. Their leadership supports key priorities including the Australian Curriculum, the National Assessment Program - Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN), and the alignment of assessment and reporting practices with each student's stage of learning.
About the Role:
Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
- Lead a shared vision for quality learning: Guide the department to develop, articulate, and commit to a clear educational vision that ensures high-quality outcomes for all students.
- Embed equity and excellence in practice: Promote socially just practices in daily operations while maintaining high expectations for student achievement and staff performance.
- Foster continuous professional growth: Actively engage in lifelong learning and support ongoing professional development within the department.
- Build collaborative partnerships: Strengthen relationships with students, parents, government agencies, and community groups to enhance learning opportunities and outcomes.
- Lead strategically and manage resources effectively: Operate with a future-focused mindset, understand relevant legislation and policies, and manage human, financial, facility, and curriculum resources to achieve departmental goals.
