About the Role:

The Science department at Craigslea State High School has a strong focus on providing authentic learning experiences for students both within the classroom and beyond. With opportunities to experience curriculum field trip camping experiences, to overseas enrichment study tours being a member of the Science department at Craigslea State High School is a rich and rewarding experience for staff and students alike.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to;

  • Lead the school department to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
  • Set high standards for student and staff performance.
  • Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.

Highly desirable skills and knowledge;

  • A deep curriculum knowledge and leadership experience of both Australian Curriculum and Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE).
  • Will be able to lead an expert teaching team in the strategic direction for the school through strong interpersonal skills, ability to use strategic thinking and management of a range of human, physical and financial resources.
