Kingaroy State High School is a co-educational state high school, officially opening on 8 August 1959. It offers Years 7 to 12.

About the Role

As Head of Department Science and Agriculture you will be a pivotal leader in our proven high performing department:

  • 2024 Australian representative H2GP World Championships in California USA
  • $1.6 Million upgrade to Agriculture facility recently completed
  • STEM enhancement program in partnership with University Queensland (UQ)
  • Dedicated and successful Agriculture show team
  • Berghofer Institute QMIR careers fair

Your strategic portfolio includes:

  • Leading and coordinating both Science and Agriculture subject areas
  • Assure assessment, unit planning and reporting alignment with Australian Curriculum
  • Lead alignment to V9 Australian Curriculum
  • Monitor and maintain QCAA QA process in senior Science and Agriculture subject areas
  • Engage in the school's collegial engagement framework
  • Nurture positive relationships between students, staff and stakeholders
  • implementing behaviour management in line with school and departmental guidelines
