About Us:

At Morayfield we are focused on maximising student achievement and wellbeing.  To this end, we offer a wide range of courses and activities designed to enhance the future prospects of our young people as they make their way in an increasingly complex world. We build productive partnerships to support students to transition from school to further education and employment. The school has also developed a strategic alliance with our local primary schools and works closely with them to promote public education and to produce better outcomes for students as they transition from primary to high school.

Our core values - Respect, Responsibility and Cooperation - affirm appropriate and consistent behaviour in an environment focused on improving performance. The Connect learning and wellbeing program supports our students to develop the skills and attitudes they need to achieve success.

About the Role:

Responsibilities include, but not limited to;

  • Provide strategic leadership by developing and committing to a shared, future-focused educational vision that delivers high-quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Promote equity and excellence by embedding socially just practices and setting high expectations for student achievement and staff performance.
  • Lead professional growth through active participation in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
  • Build strong partnerships with students, parents, community groups, and government agencies to support student wellbeing and success.
  • Ensure effective governance and management by understanding relevant legislation and policies, and by responsibly managing human, financial, facilities, and curriculum resources.

Please refer to the attached role description for any mandatory requirements for this position.

How to apply:

  • Please submit a brief resume including contact details for 2 referees (referees should have an understanding of your relevant previous work history); and
  • A 2-pg response to the How you will be Assessed section of the attached role description.

We welcome all applicants to share any support needed to ensure our recruitment process is inclusive.

Applications remain current for 12 months from the closing date and may be considered for appointment to identical or similar vacancies within the Department.
