About Emerald State High School

Emerald State High School caters to students from Years 7 to 12, and also provides facilities for Special Education students via the Special Education Program attached to the school campus. Emerald High offers an extensive range of subjects to cater for the varied needs of both its students and the needs of the wider community. About the Role

As the Head of Department - Mathematics, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited, to the following:

  • Lead a large faculty of varying skill ability.
  • Lead the delivery of a quality assured V9.0 rollout of the Australian Curriculum for Year 8 to Year 10.
  • Lead the delivery of a quality assured curriculum and assessment in senior mathematics.
  • Mentor and coach staff to improve pedagogy in your chosen curriculum area.
