About the Role

As a part of our Equity and Excellence Student Success Leadership Team you will co-lead our Mathematics Department in a small college of 420 students in Years 7 to 12. We are looking for someone passionate about student success and eager to enact our Student Success Plan where we prioritise the wellbeing of the learner, literacy and numeracy in order to access the curriculum. As the Student Success team Leader in Mathematics, you will work with the coach for Equity and Excellence to implment Version 9 of the curriculum, strategise around multiple projects including our Student Success in Numeracy Strategy and reducing Maths anxiety in learners. You will also work with the coach to build the capability of a highly dedicated and commited Maths Teaching Team.
We offer the full suite of Junior and Senior Maths subjects.

As the Head of Department, you will:

  • Lead curriculum focus in line with school and departmental initiatives
  • Participate in delivering the vision of Early Childhood and State Schools Division
  • Develop the quality of teaching and learning
  • Nurture positive relationships between students, teachers and stakeholders.
