Your Opportunity:

As the Head of Department - Junior Secondary (Years 7-9) responsibilities will concentrate on the following:

  • Educational Achievement - NAPLAN, Reading, curriculum oversight of year 7, 8 and 9
  • Wellbeing and Engagement - case management of highly disengaged students, and leading programs to support these students.
  • Culture and Inclusion - literacy and numeracy, Macqlit
  • Transition and Community Partnerships - pathways for students and connection with our partner schools
  • Strategic and Data-Driven Leadership
  • Leader of Relational Pedagogy and Positive School Culture

How you will be assessed:

Within the context of the role described above, the ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:

  • Demonstrated teaching competence and capacity to provide curriculum leadership leading to the achievement of quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to develop and sustain productive relationships within and beyond the school community.
