About the Role

As the Head of Department - Health and Physical Education, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited, to the following:

  • Lead the school department in developing and committing to a shared educational vision focussed on quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Promote socially just practices in daily school life.
  • Set high standards for student and staff performance.
  • Engage in lifelong learning and professional development.
  • Build partnerships with students, parents, agencies and community groups.
  • Be future-oriented and strategic.
  • Understand the policies and legislation affecting schooling, especially students and staff.
  • Manage department resources to achieve goals.
