About Us:

Dysart State High School is a co-educational public high school in Dysart, Central Queensland, Australia. It delivers education to students from years 7 through to 12

Small rural school of approximately 200 students. Working with and across a new leadership team to develop curriculum and pedagogy with beginning and early career teachers.

The school is committed to providing access to a quality education for young people in the Central Highland. It provides a dynamic approach to education with the focus on maximising opportunities for our students to explore 'what's possible' and then providing them with the skills to reach their goals.

About the Role:

Responsibilities include, but not limited to;

  • Set high standards for student and staff performance.
  • Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
  • Form partnerships with students, parents, other government agencies, and community groups.
  • Be futures oriented and strategic.
  • Understand the legislation and policies that impact on schooling especially in relation to students and staff within the school department.
  • Manage the human, financial, facilities and curriculum resources of the school department to achieve goals.
