About Malanda Primary School

Welcome to Malanda Primary School. We are a coeducational Prep to Year 6 facility with an enrolment of around mid 400's students. We are situated on the Atherton Tableland amidst World Heritage rainforest in tropical Far North Queensland. Our community is reliant upon agriculture and to a lesser extent the tourism industry. The ABS considers us 'outer regional'. We are committed to providing all students with a quality education. For us, quality is never an accident.   • Lead the relevant curriculum areas or whole school program to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
  • Set high standards for student and staff performance.
  • Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
